If you managed to catch our last blog post, you’ll know that the team here at Zen have the very tough job of visiting some truly incredible venues to scope out their event capacities. Recently, we had the honour of being invited over to Vietnam where we stayed in the Hyatt Regency Danang, which you can read all about here. In that same trip, we also had the chance to stay at the Pullman Danang Resort, located on the stunning white sands of Bac My An Beach.
Much like the Hyatt Regency, this 5-star venue is perfect for both the idyllic family vacation and a corporate function alike, somehow perfectly balancing a vibrant oasis of relaxation and activity. Pullman offers a number of room types ranging from ‘superior rooms’ with shaded gardens under the palms all the way to ‘penthouse suite’, arguably the crowning jewel of the main resort building. There are also some stylish, private one and two bedroom cottages on site, complete with stunning executive desks and beach-front views which are a quite literally, postcard-perfect getaways.
In true Vietnamese style, guests have complete access to a steam room, sauna and plunge pool and, for those looking something a little extra to help them unwind, Pullman Danang has a world class spa ready to offer massages, bathing rituals, facials and all kinds of authentic body treatments. It’s quite clear that health and vitality has clearly been carefully planned, as the resort’s bright and spacious Fitness Lounge is equipped with next-generation machines, yoga mats, balance balls, alongside a rota of a daily classes designed to give travellers a chance to stretch, tone and pump their muscles with views of the pools and gardens outside. I think finding a resort that balances productivity and relaxation with such magnificent ease is hard to find and walking through Pullman Danang Resort each morning, I found myself feeling revitalised and ready for the day.
Given Pullman’s impressive reputation, we were, obviously, most excited about seeing their meetings and events capacities and needless to say, we were not disappointed! They say that ‘the best meetings happen in special places’ and we can’t help but agree. Bearing in mind that the resort itself is just 20 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Danang, this resort is an event-planners dream. Set against a backdrop of turquoise ocean, there are five indoor function rooms to choose from, all completely high-tech, versatile and designed with streamlined performance in mind. Perfect for small, intimate fine-dining experiences all the way up to conferences in the Ballroom, there is nothing that Pullman cannot accommodate for with both ease and style. A highlight for me was their stunning, light and airy meeting rooms, named after the fragrant flowers of Vietnam. The smallest of the meeting rooms is 516 sq ft and can still comfortably house 48 guests. On hand are numerous I.T staff to take care of audio-visual elements and waiting in the wings are a team of experienced Vietnamese chefs, ready to take care of any catering needs.
Their selection of outdoor venues can cater for up to 1,000 guests and, depending on the occasion, you might find yourself networking beside the palm trees and infinity pools of the tropical gardens, or perhaps liaising with clients at a cocktail party on the 6th floor terrace. All of their outdoor spaces are finely-tuned to create a seamless and impactful event, whether it’s an incentive or conference or perhaps an off-site, private meeting where you can get down to brass tacks in an impossibly unforgettable environment.
We rounded our trip off with dinner and cocktails on the beach, courtesy of Pullman’s Azure Beach Lounge. Situated on the white sand, Azure served us up some light and healthy dishes and, I’m not afraid to say, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had (I do believe they are renowned in Danang for their grilled fish dishes and I can see why!). The al fresco terrace gave us a distinctly tropical vibe and, wearing my event-planners hat, I couldn’t help but see this as an ideal place to get to know your team or perhaps impress a new client over a signature cocktail.
The possibilities with Pullman’s Danang Beach Resort are endless and between this and our visit to the Hyatt Regency, Zen’s visit to Vietnam has filled us with inspiration and excitement. For more information on either of these two stunning venues, then please do give the team a call and we’d love to tell you some more of our favourite details.
