Being a part of the Zen Meetings and Events family means that we often get the chance to check out awesome properties in beautiful parts of the world so we know exactly what we’re recommending to our clients (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!). I was fortunate enough to visit Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa in Vietnam to review the event space and surrounding area and I was not disappointed.
Nestled on a postcard-perfect beach, complete with palm trees and mountain-views, lies a modern resort with 198 guestrooms, 160 residencies, 22 villas, a spa, five pools and a 900 square metre event space; all of which have been thoughtfully planned out with the guest experience in mind at all times. Despite it feeling like you never need to leave the resort (did I mention there’s even a bakery on-site?), I was surprised just how close we were to the vibrant city of Danang, Bana Hills and Hoi An, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area with your team or adding a few days of leisure travel onto the end of your business trip.
Cradled between the mountains and the sea lies a stunning spa that offers a range of natural-inspired wellness and healing traditions, a fitness centre, resort shopping and three restaurants with a mix of Mediterranean and Vietnamese cuisine. The rooms themselves are spacious and bright, all with sea views. They are delicately accented by Vietnamese-style architectural elements with indigenous timber and ceramic tea-settings, making you feel completely at peace.
Right, now on to the event space! The resort has a well-earned reputation for being a ‘world-class conferencing and incentive destination’; and for good reason. The elegant Regency Ballroom can accommodate up to 250 guests for either a cocktail reception, a fine-dining experience or a conference that’ll engage your guests and tick all the boxes. They have the latest audio-visual equipment and high-speed internet, so presentations held on the big screen are impactful and run smooth from start to finish. For something a little different, there are some stunning villas along the beach front overlooking the sea and the mountains where you can entertain guests in a picturesque outdoor setting that can be tailored to suit your objectives (we love the idea of an inspiring, dynamic formal event with canapes, cocktails, perhaps a live performance and the ocean stretching out ahead!). There are six function rooms called ‘salons’ which, much like the resort rooms themselves, are bright, spacious and designed with true Vietnamese style throughout. One of my personal favourite spaces was actually the 69 square metre boardroom, featuring light timbers and floor-to-ceiling windows that can accommodate 14 guests. It’s truly a room that’ll inspire conversation and just make you happy to be there, which is the best kind of space in our opinion!
I think this stunning property is ideal for an impressive incentive or team-building experience with a difference, a place to impress your top clients, or, host that dream conference that will change the way people view your business indefinitely.
Cocktails on the beach, canapes on the veranda, a presentation amongst the marble and timber… it’s an experience I won’t forget in a hurry and I know that the Zen team can’t wait to get involved in organising our next event there!
